A well-established manufacturing business based in Brisbane is seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join their finance team on a 6-month contract.
This organisation operates in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and offers a varied and engaging role that will suit someone who enjoys breadth, ownership, and getting into the detail.
The Role
This is a broad and practical Senior Financial Accountant role, supporting day-to-day financial operations as well as month-end and compliance activities. You’ll be involved across multiple areas of finance, making this an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and rolling up their sleeves.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations
- Supporting month-end close and ensuring accuracy of financial data
- Managing and reconciling corporate credit cards
- Assisting with tax compliance activities, including BAS and FBT
- Supporting the Finance Manager with ad hoc reporting and analysis
- Contributing to continuous improvement of finance processes and controls
You are a capable and adaptable finance professional who is comfortable working in a dynamic manufacturing environment. You enjoy variety in your role, have strong attention to detail, and can hit the ground running in a contract position.
- A degree in Accounting (CA/CPA qualified or working towards preferred)
- Proven experience as a Financial Accountant or Senior Financial Accountant
- Strong balance sheet reconciliation experience
- Exposure to credit card management and expense processes
- FBT experience (highly regarded but not essential)
- Strong Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems
