  • We’re partnering with a purpose-led organisation based in the heart of Melbourne to appoint an experienced Senior Financial Accountant.

    This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong financial accounting foundations who is looking to step into a more commercially focused, business partnering role over time. Initially offered as a 6-month contract, with a clear pathway to permanency.

    The Role

    Working closely with the Finance Director, you will take ownership of core financial reporting and play a key role across month-end, management reporting, and stakeholder engagement. You’ll also gain exposure to upcoming acquisitions, offering a great opportunity to broaden your skillset within a growing business.

    Key Responsibilities
    • End-to-end month-end close, including journals and complex reconciliations
    • Preparation of management reports with clear, insightful commentary
    • Budgeting and forecasting (upcoming budget cycle)
    • Statutory reporting including payroll tax, WorkCover, and superannuation
    • Supporting audit, tax, and year-end processes
    • Reviewing and approving invoices, working closely with AP and payroll
    • Variance analysis and delivery of commercial insights
    • Supporting commission calculations when required
    About You

    You’re a hands-on, reliable accountant with at least 5 years’ experience across audit and financial accounting. Comfortable owning the month-end process, you bring a proactive mindset and enjoy working closely with stakeholders across the business.
    • CA/CPA qualified
    • Strong financial and management accounting experience
    • High attention to detail with a commercial mindset
    • Confident communicator, able to provide meaningful insights
    • Background in a Chartered firm (highly regarded)
    • Open to working holiday visa candidates
