Our client is a leading national organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join their high-performing finance team. Operating across a large multi-entity structure, this business has a significant national footprint, a fast-paced commercial environment, and a strong focus on operational excellence and continued growth.
Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, this role will play a key part in overseeing financial reporting, month-end processes, statutory compliance, and supporting the wider finance function across multiple business entities. This position offers strong exposure to senior stakeholders and the opportunity to contribute to process improvement initiatives within a complex and dynamic organisation.
The Role
This 3–month contract with the possibility to extend or go permanent will be suitable for an immediately available or soon to be immediately available Accountant looking to step up or Senior Accountant looking to develop their career.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Manage end-to-end month-end and year-end financial reporting processes across multiple entities
- Prepare consolidated financial statements and board reporting packs
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax obligations, and statutory requirements
- Review balance sheet reconciliations, journals, accruals, and intercompany transactions
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Partner with operational stakeholders to provide commercial financial insights
- Support external audits and liaise with auditors and regulatory bodies
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across systems, controls, and finance processes
- Mentor and support junior members of the finance team
About You
Skills and Experience:
- CA/CPA qualified
- Proven experience in financial accounting within a large, complex organisation
- Prior exposure to multi-entity or group structures is highly desirable
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of statutory reporting requirements
- Experience within retail, FMCG, consumer goods, or a high-volume transactional environment will be highly regarded
- Advanced Excel skills and exposure to large ERP systems
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders across all levels of the business
- Proactive, hands-on, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
