As the Senior Financial Accountant, you will take ownership of reviewing and updating the fixed asset register, ensuring accuracy and compliance, while assisting with year-end reporting, audit requirements, and month-end and year-end close activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the review, reconciliation, and maintenance of the fixed asset register
- Identify, investigate, and resolve fixed asset discrepancies and historical issues
- Ensure fixed asset records are accurate and aligned with accounting standards
- Support year-end financial reporting and audit preparation activities
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Partner with stakeholders across finance to improve reporting accuracy and strengthen processes
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and accounting standards
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis and support as required
About You
- CA or CPA qualified (or equivalent)
- Proven experience as a Senior Financial Accountant or Financial Accountant
- Strong fixed asset accounting experience is essential
- Demonstrated experience supporting year-end reporting and external audits
- Experience using Xero will be highly regarded
