This is a hands-on Senior Financial Accountant role sitting within a team of seven, reporting into an experienced Financial Controller and contributing across group reporting, consolidations, and tax compliance.
This is an ideal opportunity for a Big 4 / Mid-Tier alumni or technically strong accountant looking to make the move into industry - or for someone already in commerce who brings the technical depth to hit the ground running in a complex environment. The business offers real breadth of exposure across a diversified group, and with a contract-to-permanent structure, there's a genuine long-term opportunity for the right person.
We are looking for an initial 6-month engagement, with an opportunity for the right person to be offered an ongoing permanent position.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation and review of group financial statements and consolidations
- Tax compliance and reporting, including income tax and BAS
- Month-end close processes including journals, reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Support the Financial Controller with statutory reporting and audit deliverables
- Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and internal stakeholders
- Contribute to process improvement and finance transformation initiatives
- CA or CPA qualified
- 2nd or 3rd mover from Big 4 / Mid-Tier firm
- Strong technical knowledge across tax and group consolidations
- Experience in a complex, multi-entity or group structure
- Commercially minded with strong attention to detail
- Immediately available or on a short notice period
