This candidate will be asked to assist with daily fund accounting, investor reporting, year-end audit and tax for the Funds/SMAs, regulatory reporting and assisting in the month-end process.

The Role
Reporting to a Financial Controller you will provide investment accounting services and operational tax reporting for investment funds.
- Perform daily reconciliation of trades, positions, cash, collateral and tax lots across internal systems, counterparties and external service providers.
- Support daily operational processes, including portfolio/OMS rollovers, firm-wide reporting and FX reconciliation activities.
- Assist with month-end close and reconciliation processes, working closely with external fund administrators.
- Maintain and strengthen financial and operational controls, ensuring transactions and accounting processes are completed accurately and efficiently.
- Assist with the preparation of annual and interim financial statements and coordinate audit requirements with external auditors.
- Manage Australian fund tax reporting obligations, including BAS, IAS, PAYG and other statutory requirements, in collaboration with external tax advisers.
- Oversee and coordinate fund expense payments, ensuring appropriate review, approval and processing.
- Respond to accounting, tax and operational queries from internal and external stakeholders, providing technical guidance where required.
- Collaborate across the broader team, providing support during peak periods and contributing to ad hoc projects and process improvement initiatives.
You will have circa 3+ years experience working in fund accounting across either a fund admin or fund manager.
CPA/CA is highly regarded
