A large financial services organisation is undertaking a significant performance uplift project and is seeking an experienced Senior Investment Performance Analyst to play a key role in strengthening investment reporting, analytics, and stakeholder insight capabilities.
This is a high-impact, 12-month fixed term contract suited to a technically strong investment professional who thrives at the intersection of performance analytics, portfolio construction, and executive-level reporting.
The Opportunity
You will support the investment team by enhancing and delivering robust performance reporting across multi-asset portfolios, while improving data integrity, analytics capability, and dashboard automation. The role sits at the center of investments, risk, compliance, and executive reporting, requiring both deep technical expertise and the ability to communicate complex insights clearly.
This position is critical to uplifting how performance, risk, attribution, and exposure analytics are delivered to internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver accurate, timely investment performance and attribution reporting across diversified portfolios
- Enhance performance analytics frameworks, including risk metrics, factor exposures, scenario analysis
- Build and refine Power BI dashboards for investment, risk, and executive audiences
- Support asset allocation analysis, exposure monitoring, and portfolio rebalancing insights
- Conduct quantitative analysis including scenario modelling, stress testing, drawdown and risk analytics
- Work closely with custodians and data providers to reconcile and validate portfolio data
- Partner with stakeholders across Investments, Risk, Compliance and Finance
- Contribute to process automation and continuous improvement initiatives within the performance reporting function
We are targeting a profile with strong alignment to the following:
- Proven experience in investment performance reporting
- Background within superannuation, or organisations closely aligned to superannuation investments (asset managers, institutional funds, fintech investment platforms, investment consulting firms)
- Strong multi-asset portfolio experience (equities, fixed income, alternatives, etc.)
- Experience in asset management or institutional portfolio management environments
- Advanced Power BI capability (dashboard development and data modelling essential)
- Strong data handling skills (SQL, Excel; Python highly regarded)
- Understanding of portfolio optimisation, risk models, factor analysis, VaR, stress testing
- Ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders and explain methodology and data assumptions clearly
