This role sits at the centre of regulatory decision-making, working closely with senior leaders and Directors to balance strong compliance outcomes with commercial and strategic objectives.
The Opportunity
This is one of the most critical compliance roles in the organisation, with direct accountability for disclosure and marketing compliance across multiple entities and member lines of business.
You will lead and grow a specialist team, oversee key governance forums and play a pivotal role in strengthening disclosure practices following a significant internal audit finding.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach and build a high-performing disclosure compliance team
- Provide senior oversight of Product Disclosure Statements, marketing materials and regulatory disclosures
- Own and drive the organisation’s Document Due Diligence Program and related governance processes
- Act as the key escalation point for complex disclosure and marketing compliance matters
- Partner closely with marketing, legal and business leaders to deliver compliant, commercially-sound outcomes
- Review current-state capabilities and lead the design of future-state systems, processes and ways of working
- Lead regulatory change impacts across disclosure and marketing activity
You are a senior compliance professional who thrives in regulated environments and enjoys working at the intersection of risk, regulation and commercial decision-making.
You will bring:
- Significant experience in compliance within financial services
- Strong working knowledge of superannuation legislation, prudential standards and regulatory expectations
- Proven experience reviewing and approving marketing materials and disclosure documents (including PDS)
- Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders and challenging constructively where required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate regulation into practical advice
