We’re partnering with a well-established and high-performing organisation with a strong presence across Australia. Due to internal movements and year-end demands, they are seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Officer to join the team on an initial 6-month contract.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-end processing of payroll on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing in line with relevant awards, EBAs and legislation
- Manage payroll for permanent, casual and contract employees, including leave, allowances, bonuses and terminations
- Interpret and apply payroll legislation, including PAYG tax, superannuation and payroll tax
- Handle payroll queries from employees and stakeholders in a professional and timely manner
- Conduct payroll reconciliations and support month-end and year-end processes
- Partner with HR and Finance to ensure accurate employee data and system integrity
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and support payroll system enhancements
- Assist with audits and provide payroll data as required
- 3 - 5 Years Experience as a Senior Payroll Officer
- Must have Preceda
