This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced, hands-on Senior Payroll Officer to take ownership of payroll for a recently acquired entity operating on separate systems. This role requires a true end-to-end payroll specialist who can confidently manage complex calculations and work autonomously.
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will:
- Manage end-to-end fortnightly payroll for a standalone entity
- Process new starters, variations, leave, timesheets and terminations
- Perform LSL calculations and complex termination payments
- Investigate and resolve under/overpayments
- Complete payroll reconciliations and ensure compliance
- Respond to payroll queries via service desk in a timely manner
- Interpret Awards, Enterprise Agreements and employment contracts
- Experienced in end-to-end payroll processing with aged care, nursing, hospital organisations highly regarded
- Confident managing payroll across different systems
- Strong in taxation, superannuation and legislative compliance
- Comfortable with complex calculations including LSL
- Highly detail-oriented with strong reconciliation skills
- A proactive problem solver who can work independently
- $50–$60 per hour + super
- 12-month contract with stability
