    Immediate Start | Brisbane Inner CBD Suburbs

    We’re partnering with a well-established organisation currently going through a number of payroll improvement projects and requiring an experienced Senior Payroll Specialist to step in and hit the ground running.

    This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives on fixing processes, cleaning up data, and bringing structure to a busy payroll function.

    This role requires an immediate start and suits someone who can start at very short notice.

    Project focus
    • Payroll audit, including super fund reconciliation, clean-up of duplicate/inactive funds, and overall data integrity review
    • Manage and resolve backpay calculations and adjustments
    • Review and accurately calculate leave accruals, including WorkCover-related entitlements
    • Support Pay Day Super compliance, ensuring correct setup, system alignment, and reporting accuracy
    • Identify and correct payroll discrepancies driven by inconsistent processes and prior turnover
    • Streamline and standardise payroll processes to improve efficiency and accuracy across the function
    • Develop and refine Excel templates and reporting tools, particularly across payroll tax and data reporting

    About You
    • Proven experience as a Senior Payroll Specialist within a complex environment
    • Strong understanding of payroll tax, superannuation, and award interpretation
    • Highly advanced Excel skills(ability to build and adapt templates from scratch)
    • Experienced in payroll audits, reconciliations, and process improvement projects
    • Able to quickly assess issues, prioritise workload, and deliver outcomes in a fast-paced environment
