This role sits within a highly regarded investment team and will play a key part in shaping global equity investment outcomes through manager research, portfolio implementation, investment monitoring and strategic investment initiatives.
The position offers a unique combination of investment research, portfolio construction, manager selection and stakeholder engagement, providing exposure to complex investment decisions across global markets.
The Opportunity
Working closely with senior investment leaders, you will contribute across a broad range of responsibilities including:
- Identifying, researching and assessing global equity investment opportunities
- Leading and supporting external manager due diligence and selection processes
- Monitoring investment managers and evaluating portfolio outcomes
- Contributing to portfolio construction, implementation and transition activities
- Preparing investment papers, recommendations and research for senior decision-makers
- Presenting insights and recommendations to investment committees and governance forums
- Partnering with operations, risk, legal, compliance and performance teams on investment-related matters
- Supporting and mentoring junior investment professionals
- Contributing to broader investment research, portfolio strategy and market initiatives.
This is a role for an intellectually curious investment professional who enjoys moving between detailed investment research, strategic portfolio thinking and senior stakeholder engagement.
About You
We are interested in speaking with experienced investment professionals who bring a combination of strong analytical capability, commercial judgement and investment insight.
You may currently be working within:
- Institutional investment organisations
- Asset managers and investment boutiques
- Asset owners and long-term capital allocators
- Multi-manager and manager research platforms
- Investment consulting and advisory firms
To be successful, you will likely possess:
- 10+ years' experience across equities, portfolio management, manager research, asset allocation or broader investment management
- Strong understanding of fundamental equity research, security selection and investment decision-making
- Exposure to global equity markets and investment manager assessment
- Familiarity with quantitative investment approaches and portfolio construction concepts
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- The ability to influence stakeholders and communicate complex investment concepts clearly
- A collaborative approach and desire to contribute positively within a high-performing team environment
