Our client is an innovative and well-regarded Saas company, with presence across multiple countries. Continuing their growth trajectory, they are currently seeking for a Systems Accountant to join their close-knit team in Melbourne (full-time position).
The role
This is a newly created role as a result of business growth and wanting to strengthen the organisation's Finance system capabilities. Reporting to the FP&A Lead, the Systems Accountant will be responsible owning and optimising NetSuite from an accounting perspective (data integrity, processes efficiency, scalable system design, etc.).
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading the delivery of the NetSuite roadmap to align with business needs.
- Configuring and maintaining chart of accounts, tax rules, revenue recognition rules, multi-currency and subsidiary structures, etc.
- Supporting, improving accounting operations processes (AP, AR, intercompany transactions, month end/yearend close...)
- Building, maintaining, customizing reports and dashboards
- Overseeing future financial integrations such as payroll, billings, expenses, etc.
- Administering NetSuite, including permissions, workflows, testing, documentation...
- Acting as a bridge between Finance, IT and external partners.
Skills & experience required:
- CA/CPA qualification, or working towards
- Previous hands-on experience with NetSuite
- Pro-active individual who likes to take ownership
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong team player who wants to make a mark in a growing business
