    The company
    Australian owned, PE backed services business who are going through a growth phase to enable more reach within their customer base.

    The role
    The opportunity is within a high-growth, PE-backed Australian business entering its next phase of expansion, with a focus on strengthening financial governance, improving systems and building scalable processes.

    Reporting to the CFO, the role leads a lean finance team (x4 DR's) and requires a hands on Financial Controller comfortable operating across reporting, audit, compliance, financial operations and process improvement.
    • Lead the month end and year end close processes
    • Produce accurate and timely financial statements and management reporting
    • Maintain strong financial controls, reconciliations and supporting documentation
    • Manage the annual external audit and act as the key contact for external auditors
    • Ensure statutory, tax and regulatory obligations are met
    • Maintain compliance with accounting standards and internal policies
    • Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, cash management and bank reconciliations
    • Lead, develop and coach a finance team of approximately six
    • Establish efficient, scalable and well-documented finance processes
    • Improve month-end timelines and minimise audit adjustments
    • Enhance automation and reduce reliance on manual processes
    • Improve finance systems, controls and data quality
    • Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks across the finance function
    • Support general ledger, reporting system and broader technology upgrades
    • Partner closely with the CFO, CEO and senior leadership team
    • Support outsourced and offshore finance arrangements where appropriate
    • Contribute to broader business improvement initiatives
    • Build the financial infrastructure required to support continued growth period of transformation and increased workload
    To be considered for this role you will need:
    • Experience managing an audit end to end in a sub $100m t/o company
    • Have confidence improving and streamlining process
    • Be hands on in your approach
