Perigon Group is partnering with a well-established and growing Australian business to recruit an Assistant Accountant for their Brisbane finance team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated accounting professional looking to build on their existing experience and gain broader exposure across month-end accounting, reconciliations and financial reporting activities.
Working within a supportive finance team, you will play a key role in the day-to-day accounting function while continuing to develop your technical accounting skills and commercial understanding.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of month-end journals, accruals and prepayments
- Bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations
- Cost and revenue reconciliations
- Billing and completeness checks
- Ad hoc invoicing
- Assistance with BAS and compliance-related activities
- Fixed asset accounting and reconciliations
- Supporting reporting and general accounting processes
- Degree qualified in Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline
- Approximately 1-2 years' accounting experience
- Recently completed your studies or currently working towards CA/CPA
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Ability to manage competing deadlines and priorities
