Our client is a large, well-established Australian business in the middle of a multi-year finance transformation, moving onto a single unified SAP platform. They're looking for a qualified accountant with strong SAP master data experience to own the GL side of the finance system and support the move to the new platform.
The Role
Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, you'll own SAP master data for the Australian platform. That covers the month-end and year-end close and preparing finance data for migration to the new system.
Responsibilities include:
- Maintaining SAP master data, including the chart of accounts, cost centres and profit centres
- Coordinating the month-end and year-end close (GL, AP, AR) across multiple entities
- Managing intercompany reconciliations and the automated intercompany process
- Working with the tax team on GST entries, adjustments and BAS
- Leading data cleansing, mapping and validation ahead of migration, including reconciling test loads before go-live
- Supporting end users through training, cutover and hypercare
- Giving senior finance stakeholders and the program office regular updates on progress and risks
- CA or CPA qualified, with 3 to 5+ years in financial accounting or Big 4
- Hands-on SAP ECC or S/4HANA experience, including master data
- Experience on a finance transformation or ERP implementation
- Strong grasp of GL, intercompany and reporting in a large, complex business
- Advanced Excel, with Business Objects or similar highly regarded
- Confident communicator who works well with stakeholders at every level
- $125,000 - $130,000 + super
- 12-month contract, starting ASAP
- 2 days WFH, with Rhodes close to the train
