Our client is a well established investment management business, distributing a range of domestic and global investment solutions to institutional and sophisticated investors. With a growing client base, an opportunity now exists for a suitably qualified individual to join their Brisbane based Investment Operations team.
About the Role
Reporting to the Investment Operations Supervisor, this role supports the accurate and timely execution of post trade operational activities, including trade processing, cash and position reconciliations, unit pricing, corporate actions, cash management and regulatory reporting. You will work closely with fund managers, custodians, administrators and internal teams to ensure timely service delivery and prompt resolution of exceptions.
Responsibilities
- Validate and process trade instructions across multiple asset classes, monitoring and resolving failed trades
- Complete daily and monthly unit price reconciliations, investigating variances
- Perform daily cash and holdings reconciliations between internal systems, custodians and administrators
- Monitor and manage cash flows, including FX requirements
- Track and process corporate actions, income events and proxy voting
- Liaise with custodians, counterparties and fund managers to ensure timely trade settlement
- Complete regulatory and client reporting where required
- Identify and support the implementation of process improvements
- Business, Finance or Commerce degree, or other relevant qualification
- 1 to 3 years' funds management and/or stock market experience, ideally from a custodian, stockbroker or funds management firm
- Preferred systems knowledge in IRESS, Bloomberg and intermediate to advanced Excel
- Strong attention to detail, proactive approach and good understanding of financial markets
- Excellent written and verbal communicator with strong interpersonal skills
- Confident managing competing priorities under pressure
