Job Details

An excellent opportunity has become available for an emerging risk, compliance or quality assurance professional to join a market leading financial services group on the Gold Coast.

With an established presence in the Australian lending market and ambitious plans for continued growth, the business is investing in its risk and governance capabilities to support its next stage of development.

Working as part of an experienced risk function, this position offers an opportunity to broaden your experience across enterprise risk management, operational controls, compliance and quality assurance.

The Opportunity
This is a hands-on role focused on helping the business maintain effective risk management practices and ensuring operational processes are aligned with internal policies, regulatory requirements and established controls.

You'll be involved in reviewing operational activities, undertaking quality
assurance checks, identifying potential control weaknesses and supporting the investigation and remediation of risk and compliance issues.

The position will also contribute to risk reporting, incident management, compliance monitoring and broader initiatives aimed at strengthening the organisation's control environment.

Importantly, you'll work closely with stakeholders across different areas of the business, developing a strong understanding of how risk and compliance requirements translate into day-to-day operations.

For someone looking to build a longer-term career in enterprise risk, governance or assurance, this is an opportunity to gain meaningful exposure within a growing financial services organisation.

About You
We're looking for someone with some initial experience in financial services who has developed an interest in risk, compliance, governance or quality assurance.

You may currently be working in banking, operations, credit, AML, compliance , risk or a quality assurance function and be looking to take the next step in your career.

Ideally, you'll bring an understanding of internal controls, regulatory requirements or operational processes, along with strong attention to detail and an analytical approach to identifying issues and improving outcomes.

Experience reviewing customer files, assessing compliance with policies, investigating incidents or supporting risk and governance activities would be particularly relevant.

Above all, we're looking for someone who is curious, organised, comfortable engaging with stakeholders and motivated to develop their technical capability.

You don't need to be an established risk specialist. A strong foundation in financial services operations, combined with the right attitude and willingness to learn, will be highly regarded.

What's on Offer
You'll be joining a growing financial services business that places genuine importance on risk management, governance and continuous improvement.

The role offers the opportunity to learn from experienced risk professionals, gain exposure to different business functions and progressively develop your expertise across enterprise risk and assurance.

With a broad remit, supportive leadership and opportunities for professional development, this is an attractive next step for someone looking to establish themselves within the risk and compliance profession.
