We're partnering with a highly regarded organisation to appoint a Portfolio Services Associate to its Brisbane team. You might already be working in portfolio administration, investment operations, fund administration or wealth management. Equally, you could be coming from an accounting, finance or broader financial services background and looking to move into a role that offers greater exposure to investments and financial markets.
What matters most is your attention to detail, willingness to learn, ability to build relationships and genuine interest in the investment industry.
The Opportunity
Working within an experienced and collaborative team, you'll support the administration and ongoing management of investment portfolios, working closely with financial advisers, portfolio managers, fund managers and custodians.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the onboarding and establishment of new client investment portfolios.
- Coordinating asset transfers and portfolio transitions between investment platforms, brokers and custodians.
- Processing managed fund transactions, including applications, redemptions and distributions.
- Maintaining accurate portfolio records, investment data and account information.
- Completing cash and investment reconciliations and investigating discrepancies.
- Assisting with portfolio reporting and responding to adviser and stakeholder enquiries.
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes, controls and operational efficiencies.
About You
We're keen to speak with candidates from a variety of backgrounds, including:
- Portfolio administration, investment operations or fund administration.
- Wealth management, superannuation, custody or investment platforms.
- Accounting or finance roles, particularly those looking to transition into investment-related work.
- Broader financial services operations or client services.
- Finance, Commerce or Economics graduates with a genuine interest in financial markets.
You'll bring strong organisational skills, attention to detail, confidence working with numbers and the ability to communicate effectively with different stakeholders.
Previous investment administration experience will be highly regarded, but it's certainly not essential. Training and support will be provided for someone with the right attitude and transferable skills.
