Safety Advisor
Brisbane CBD | 3-month Fixed Term Contract
An opportunity has become available for an experienced Safety Advisor to join a well-established national organisation on a fixed term contract until January.
Based in Brisbane, this position supports multiple business units across Australia, partnering with operational and corporate stakeholders to strengthen safety outcomes across a diverse workforce.
The Opportunity
Reporting to a supportive and experienced leader, you'll play a key role in providing practical safety advice, incident support and risk management guidance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert safety advice and guidance across a national portfolio
- Support incident investigations and the management of corrective actions
- Assist with risk assessments and implementation of control measures
- Partner with operational leaders to drive a positive safety culture
- Review safety data, trends and reporting to identify opportunities for improvement
- Maintain accurate records and reporting through the organisation's safety management system
- Support compliance with relevant legislation, policies and procedures
- Contribute to safety projects, initiatives and continuous improvement activities
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Previous experience in a Safety Business Partner, Safety Advisor or similar WHS role
- Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety legislation and best practice
- Experience supporting incident investigations and risk management processes
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- The ability to build trusted relationships across operational and corporate teams
