An immediate opportunity has become available for an experienced Senior Payroll Officer
to join a busy organisation on an initial 3 month temporary contract with high likelyhood to extend longer.
This is a hands-on role suited to an established payroll professional who can confidently step into a complex environment, learn new processes quickly and take ownership of day-to-day payroll requirements. You’ll be joining a collaborative team and working closely with stakeholders across the broader business.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing end-to-end payroll processing across multiple Australian entities
- Applying and interpreting relevant awards, EBAs and payroll requirements
- Processing starters, leavers, adjustments and other payroll changes
- Investigating payroll discrepancies and responding to employee queries
- Completing payroll reconciliations, reporting and compliance-related tasks
- Maintaining accurate payroll records and ensuring deadlines are met
- Partnering with HR, Finance and operational teams to resolve payroll matters
You’ll be an experienced payroll professional who is comfortable stepping into a role and making an impact quickly.
Ideally, you will bring:
- Strong end-to-end payroll experience
- Previous exposure to complex and/or multi-entity payroll environments
- Sound knowledge of awards and EBAs
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Confidence investigating and resolving payroll issues
- The ability to manage competing deadlines in a busy environment
- A practical, adaptable and team-focused approach
- Availability to commence at short notice
- Immediate start
- Initial 3 month temporary contract with high potential to turn into a longer term contract
- Full-time Monday to Friday hours
