A leading financial services organisation is building out its Risk Transformation function and is hiring an Enterprise Change Risk Specialist. The role is newly created and suits someone who would rather shape how risk is managed than run an existing process.

The organisation is going through significant change. You’ll be the second-line voice across its biggest projects and transformation programs, and you’ll help lift risk maturity across the enterprise.

What You’ll Do

• Provide independent second-line review and challenge on project risk assessments, strategic risk assessments, transformation programs and regulatory change
• Work with delivery teams (you won’t deliver projects yourself) to help them manage risk well and make change land
• Contribute to an enterprise-wide Risk Maturity Uplift program covering frameworks, practices, policies and processes
• Design and facilitate training and workshops that build risk capability across the business
• Build strong relationships from frontline teams to executives, and influence without direct authority
• Drive continuous improvement across risk and change processes

What You’ll Bring

• Solid risk management experience, ideally across operational risk, enterprise risk, project risk or regulatory change
• Experience supporting change or transformation programs from a risk perspective
• A background in a regulated environment. Financial services is preferred, but strong candidates from energy, utilities or other complex regulated organisations will be considered
• Sharp critical and conceptual thinking: you step back and ask “does this actually make sense?” rather than just checking whether the process was followed
• Confidence to challenge constructively, high emotional intelligence and a practical, common-sense approach
• Comfort working through ambiguity in an organisation that is transforming
• Exposure to Archer, PPM or project risk frameworks is a plus, but not essential
